This entry is for the 8th week of our class, and for this week, we have been introduced to the Software Evaluation Rubric, Researched and Developed by Kristin Miller and Jacqueline Bach, SAS in School Interns, Summer, 2001. This topic is pretty familiar for us as we have learnt about evaluation rubric during our teacher training program at Maktab. Yet this topic is much more on the websites and software evaluation. The idea of rubrics evaluation is meant to measures aspects about the particular item tested. The rubrics are able to measures aspects upon aspects in details such as its accessibility, content, ease of use, support materials, and technical quality.
Most importantly, rubrics can also be used as teaching tools that support learning and the improvement of weaknesses of a software. With appropriate methods and steps, they serve the purposes of learning as well as feedback which is essential for further upgrades. There are thousands of rubrics has already been created and yet it can always be created to suits its very own needs. Due to that, it is important to be able to chose the most appropriate rubrics as will effects the evaluation at the ends of it.
