THIS is the week we have been introduced to some new platforms which can be used to assist learning. These platforms arise from the WEB 2.0. this WEB 2.0 is basically more of sharing. As quoted from Wikipedia, “ associated with web applications that facilitate interactive information sharing, interoperability, user-centered design,[1] and collaboration on the World Wide Web”. Web 2.0 is an extension from the Web 1.0 which has been the key idea of these webs application. These are mostly the things which has changes due to the transformation:

During this class, the platform which we had touched on was:
1) wikis
2) blog
3) social networking
4) media sharing
And of course the purpose of these platform is to helps us the user s on sharing.yes indeed, there are some few similarities of these entire platform, yet, each of these platform has its particular strengths, flexibilities and weaknesses. During this class as well, we have been given a task in which we are required to create an application tools through the use of one of these all 4 platform. We have to show, how this platform could enhance teaching and learning of science.
My group was assigned to do a research on the social networking and how it can be use for teaching and learning in process. We have chosen Facebook as one of the platform from social networking. We chose Facebook because it has so many applications that can be manipulated as teaching materials. Using Facebook, teachers can post notes, announcement, quiz, discussion tab, post pictures, videos and many more.
